Acceptance

These terms govern your use of thepuzzlelabs.com, operated by Arpit Verma. By using the site you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

Using the site

Everything on the site is free to play and no account is required. You agree not to:

  • scrape or request the site at a volume that degrades it for other people, or attempt to circumvent rate limits;
  • resell access to the site or present it as your own service;
  • attempt to gain access to accounts, systems or data that are not yours, or interfere with the operation of the site;
  • manipulate leaderboard standings, including by submitting results you did not earn.

Beyond those limits, you are welcome to play as much as you like.

Accounts

An account is optional and exists so your progress carries between devices. You are responsible for the Google account you sign in with and for activity that happens under your account.

Public handles are visible to other players on the leaderboard. We may remove a handle that is abusive or that impersonates someone else, and we may suspend an account that manipulates the leaderboard. You can delete your account at any time from account settings.

Puzzles, software and articles

The puzzles, the programs that generate and verify them, the articles, and the design of the site are owned by us and protected by copyright. Nothing on the site transfers ownership to you.

What you may reuse

Without asking us first, you may:

  • solve puzzles on the site as much as you like;
  • print puzzles and printable packs for personal, family or classroom use;
  • quote short passages from an article with a link back to the original page.

Republishing an article in full, or copying puzzle sets in bulk into another product, app or publication, requires written permission. Send requests through the contact page, and we are generally happy to say yes for teaching and non-commercial use.

Advertising

The site is funded by advertising served through Google AdSense. We do not choose the individual advertisers who appear. If you see an ad that is broken, deceptive or inappropriate, send us a screenshot and we will report it to Google.

Availability and accuracy

The site is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind. Every puzzle is checked by a separate verification program before publication, as described in our editorial policy, but we cannot guarantee that the site will always be available or entirely free of errors.

Progress saved in your browser, or in your account if you sign in, is a convenience rather than a backup service. Please do not rely on it as the only copy of anything you care about.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the site, including lost progress, lost time, or loss of data. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Links to other sites

Some pages link to other websites. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or for how they handle your data.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms. The date at the top changes when we do, and continuing to use the site after that means you accept the revised version.

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Questions about them can be sent through the contact page.
