About medium word searches

Medium puzzles expand to 10×10 with 10 words. The big change: words now run in all four cardinal directions — right, left, down, and up. Backward words trip people up more than expected because your brain naturally reads forward.

An effective approach is to scan by word. Pick one from the list, find every instance of its first letter, then check each candidate in all four directions. This is faster than scanning the whole grid hoping words appear.

Most players clear medium puzzles in 2–3 minutes. Ready for more? Hard adds diagonal directions, which is where word search puzzles get genuinely challenging.
